Become The Highlander!

Well employed madman and Cambridge scientist Aubrey de Grey is, according to the BBC, making some fairly outlandish claims.  For example, he says that the first person to hit one millenia (that's just a tad bit older than Methusaleh, I do believe) may already be in their 60's!  Why should we stop at 1,000 years, by the way?  If we can make it to 1,000 years, surely by the 950th year out of that 1,000, science will have developed to the point where we can extend life for another 1,000 years... and so on ad infinitum.  Here at Scottish Commonsense, we'll believe it when we see it.
